Platform Maintenance & Salesforce Migration
Keeping 6 core platforms and 14 micro-services secure and up to date, while key services move onto Salesforce
Overview
Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a UK charity that helps people break free from debt and poverty. Behind that work sits a large software estate: 6 main platforms, supported by another 14 micro-services apps and packages.
In 2026 we started working with CAP on web development and maintenance across the whole estate. That covers monthly security and vulnerability updates, day-to-day development, and support for the migration to Salesforce, where some of the older services have already moved.
The challenge
A software estate of 20 platforms, apps and packages needs constant care. Dependencies go out of date, new vulnerabilities are published every month, and each system has to keep working with the others. At the same time, parts of the older services are moving onto Salesforce, so the existing platforms have to stay stable and secure while the migration happens around them.
The solution
We look after the estate on a regular monthly cycle, reviewing and applying security and vulnerability updates across the 6 main platforms and 14 micro-services apps and packages, so every part stays patched and supported.
Alongside the maintenance, we take on ongoing web development and help with the Salesforce migration: working with the services that have already moved, and keeping the remaining platforms running smoothly as the transition continues.
